Jason Lee White, age 39, of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on July 15 to 10 years’ imprisonment by United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson for receiving child pornography. Judge Wilson also ordered White to pay $133,500 in restitution to victims and assessments totaling $17,100.
According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, law enforcement began investigating White in 2023 after learning that he had been communicating with underage girls on Instagram and soliciting sexually explicit images from them. Following the execution of a search warrant at White’s home in November 2023, law enforcement seized computer devices containing tens of thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography that White received via the internet.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project brings together federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children online and identify victims.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Christian T. Haugsby prosecuted the case.
