The Aerospace Industries Association announced on Aug. 4 that it welcomed the Federal Aviation Administration’s issuance of an amended type certificate for the Boeing 737 MAX-7.
In a statement, the association said, “The Aerospace Industries Association applauds the Federal Aviation Administration’s issuance of the amended type certificate for the Boeing 737 MAX-7, an important milestone that underscores America’s continued leadership in aviation safety and innovation. This certification reflects years of rigorous technical review and demonstrates the strength of a safety system that remains the benchmark for the world. By maintaining the strongest safety oversight while enabling technological innovation, the United States has and will continue to set the global standard for developing and certifying advanced aircraft.”
The association represents manufacturers and suppliers in aerospace and defense sectors, supports diversity and inclusion initiatives, advocates for national security policies, encourages innovation and economic expansion, promotes international business ethics through efforts such as leading the International Forum on Business Ethical Conduct since 2010, offers access to industry standards, networking opportunities via councils and committees, and shapes U.S. policy on aviation safety and workforce development, according to its official website.
