The Aerospace Industries Association announced on Aug. 5 its support for House and Senate efforts to pass a continuing resolution to keep the government funded and prevent a shutdown ahead of the September 30 deadline.
In a statement released from Arlington, Virginia, the association said, “The Aerospace Industries Association supports House and Senate efforts to pass a continuing resolution to keep the government funded and prevent a shutdown ahead of the September 30 deadline. We are committed to working with Congress and the Administration to secure enactment of the President’s FY27 request for significant and needed levels of defense funding through the annual appropriations process, reconciliation legislation, and any necessary supplemental funding measures. AIA backs ongoing efforts by Congress and the Administration to advance and strengthen defense investment and maximize the resources available in reconciliation 3.0 to support the warfighter, maintain the stability needed to meet evolving national security requirements, sustain critical aerospace and defense programs, and expand industrial base capacity.”
The association said it is focused on ensuring that defense investment remains strong in order to meet national security needs while supporting stability for critical aerospace programs.
