Voters in Alabama’s Congressional Districts 1, 2, 6, and 7 will participate in a special primary election on Aug. 11, following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that restored the state’s 2023 congressional map.
The election will determine party nominees for the Nov. 3 General Election. The candidate who receives the most votes in each district’s primary will win their party’s nomination and advance to the general election; no runoff is scheduled for this contest.
According to officials, small business is considered an important part of the state economy. “Small business is the foundation of our economy, and it’s important to elect leaders who will work to help small businesses grow, create jobs, and serve their communities,” a statement said.
