Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, announced that on Oct. 18 Derick Martin Garcia Pacheco was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison. Garcia Pacheco, 33, of Albuquerque, pleaded guilty on May 10 to one count of assault on a federal officer using a deadly or dangerous weapon and inflicting bodily injury and one count of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
