News Release: WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today fined Spirit Airlines $350,000 for violating federal rules protecting passengers who are denied boarding (“bumped”) on oversold flights, and for not providing accurate reporting of passengers denied boarding.
