News Release: COPPER CENTER, AK - Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve has closed the 12- and 13-mile sections of the Nugget Creek Trail off of the McCarthy Rd due to a bear-cached moose carcass on the trail. These sections of trail are closed until it is confirmed the carcass has been consumed and the bear is no longer utilizing the area.
