Park Staff Conduct Major Renovations to Yahoo Falls Picnic Area

News Release: Park staff have completed the repair and rehabilitation of Yahoo Falls Picnic Area. Fifteen picnic sites received fresh gravel pads, new picnic tables and cooking grills. Trails leading to each site were also resurfaced. Parking areas at each picnic site were repaired and the large picnic pavilion was repaired and painted. The picnic table fire rings, grills, seating, and picnic tables were all replaced.

Upcoming Single-Lane Closures on the Spur, September 12th through 22nd

News Release: Great Smoky Mountains National Park maintenance crews will implement temporary, single-lane closures along the north and southbound Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, beginning Monday, September 12 through Thursday, September 22 for routine maintenance operations.
