A scan revealed anomalies, and a physical inspection uncovered 137.35 lbs of liquid methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle’s gas tank. #OFOproud https://t.co/cQrQpYqqNz”.

The Trade Fraud Task Force is described as a cross-agency initiative between CBP and the Department of Justice aimed at strengthening enforcement of U.S. trade laws through collaborative action across federal agencies.

Methamphetamine smuggling remains a significant challenge for law enforcement agencies along the U.S.-Mexico border, with CBP regularly reporting seizures involving various concealment methods such as hidden compartments within vehicles’ fuel tanks or other structural modifications.
