Doug Truax, founder and CEO of Restoration of America, said May 25 that the U.S. military campaign against Iran represents a success for America First foreign policy.
“America First leadership is doing the whole world a favor by getting rid of the Iran problem,” Truax said in a commentary featured by Restoration News, following his appearance on Fox Business, where he discussed the military campaign in the Middle East.
U.S. and Israeli forces conducted coordinated strikes on Iranian targets beginning Feb. 28, 2026, in Operation Epic Fury and Operation Roaring Lion. The 40-day campaign destroyed or rendered ineffective about 60% of Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal, drone capabilities, naval assets, and defense industrial base. A ceasefire took effect on April 8, 2026, according to the American Jewish Committee.
An analysis by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies shows Iran’s missile launches dropped more than 90% during the conflict. The campaign struck over 10,000 targets, including production facilities, command centers and storage centers.
Truax is a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army captain who served with the 4th Infantry Division as a Ranger. He founded Restoration of America, a volunteer organization that promotes America First principles through education and advocacy, according to GuideStar. Truax also leads Restoration PAC.
