The Education and Workforce Committee will hold a field hearing in Augusta, Georgia, on July 24, focusing on how artificial intelligence is creating opportunities across America’s workforce. The hearing, titled “Building an AI-Ready America: How AI Is Creating Opportunities Across America’s Workforce,” is scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern Time at the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center’s Hull McKnight Building at Augusta University.
This marks the Committee’s eighth hearing in its ongoing series examining artificial intelligence. Witnesses scheduled to testify include Ajikumar Parayil, Founder and CEO of Manus Bio from Boston; Brad Edenfield, Farmer and General Manager of RT Farms Inc. in Burke County; Tony Barlow, Vice President of Communications Workers of America Local 3204 in Atlanta; and Dr. Jeffery Talbert, Professor and Department Chair in AI and Health at the Medical College of Georgia.
