Chair Ernst announced on July 7 that Corner Market & Greenhouse has been named the Small Business of the Week. Throughout this Congress, Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties.

“Corner Market and Greenhouse is an outstanding Iowa small business that exemplifies their un-be-leaf-able American entrepreneurial spirit by generously planting roots in the community through flower donations and greenhouse tours,” said Chair Ernst. “For over three decades, Paul and Linda have built the business from the ground up, branching out and pruning away inefficiency by modernizing their greenhouses with cutting-edge agricultural technology.”

Founded in 1994 by Paul and Linda Manske, Corner Market & Greenhouse was established to provide families with a community-focused store for gardening needs. The Oelwein-based business has become well known for its hospitality and variety. For 32 years, Paul and Linda Manske have worked to supply seasonal flowers, plants, and décor to residents.

Stay tuned as Chair Ernst continues her initiative to highlight outstanding small businesses across Iowa with her Small Business of the Week award.

The Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee supports informed decision-making on national fiscal priorities, offers comprehensive policy options on federal budget components, features Lindsey Graham as chairman and Jeff Merkley as ranking member, contributes to congressional budget processes via resolutions and reconciliation instructions, was established through the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974, and provides nonpartisan budgetary analysis through oversight of the Congressional Budget Office, according to the official website.
