Senator Joni Ernst will host the final Entrepreneur Expo in Ames on June 23, rounding out four years of events aimed at connecting Iowa small businesses with federal innovation and contracting opportunities. The event is designed to provide networking and hands-on instruction for Iowa entrepreneurs seeking to do business with the federal government.

“This year’s theme is ‘Made in Iowa: Ready for the Mission’ to spotlight how Iowa small businesses can support our warfighters, advance U.S. national security, and contribute to a mission-ready America,” said Chair Ernst. “I’m honored to connect Iowa’s entrepreneurs and job creators and provide them with the ins and outs of federal opportunities.”

Small business owners interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP through the provided link. Over the past three years, hundreds of Iowans and representatives from 40 federal agency departments and state entities have participated in Ernst’s Expo events, which aim to unlock new possibilities in federal contracting and innovation programs.

The Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee supports informed decision-making on national fiscal priorities, offers Congress comprehensive policy options on budget components, features Lindsey Graham as chairman and Jeff Merkley as ranking member, contributes to congressional budget processes via resolutions and reconciliation instructions, was established through the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974, and provides nonpartisan budgetary analysis through oversight of the Congressional Budget Office, according to the official website.
