The Federal Trade Commission is sending more than $672,000 to consumers deceived by the operator of Trend Deploy, Frank Romero, according to a July 22 announcement. The agency is mailing 9,419 checks to affected consumers and advises recipients to cash their checks within 90 days as indicated on the check.

The Commission stated that it never requires people to pay money or provide account information in order to receive payment. The agency also said it will never demand money, make threats, tell individuals to transfer money, or promise a prize.
