Justin Leon Westbrook, 43, of McAlester, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty on July 30 to one count of distribution of methamphetamine and one count of felon in possession of a firearm, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The plea was accepted by Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Westbrook admitted to distributing 5 grams or more of methamphetamine (actual), a Schedule II controlled substance, on July 23, 2025. He also admitted to possessing a semi-automatic pistol with an obliterated serial number on July 29, 2025, after previously being convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year imprisonment. The distribution charge carries a minimum sentence of five years and up to forty years in prison as well as a $5 million fine; the firearm charge carries up to fifteen years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case arose from an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Chuck Sullivan represented the government during proceedings.
Judge Snow ordered completion of a presentence investigation report before sentencing is determined by a U.S. District Court Judge, who will consider federal sentencing guidelines and other statutory factors. Westbrook will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service until sentencing is completed.
