A federal grand jury has indicted Jayceir Fullman, 21, of Milford, on charges of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to an announcement made July 29 in Wilmington, Delaware. Court documents state that on February 9, 2026, Fullman entered the apartment of an acquaintance without permission and took a Glock handgun. Under federal law, Fullman is prohibited from possessing firearms.
If convicted of the charge, Fullman faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties and will be determined by a federal district court judge after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace, Special Agent in Charge Charles Doerrer from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and Chief Cecilia Ashe from the Milford Police Department (MPD). The ATF and MPD investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin B. Smith is prosecuting.
This prosecution falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which is described as a nationwide initiative coordinated by U.S. Attorneys’ offices to address violent crime through collaboration among law enforcement at all levels and targeted prosecution strategies tailored to specific communities.
Authorities noted that PSN serves as part of Operation Take Back America and supports efforts to ensure public safety through rapid response to violent crime offenders and strong partnerships among agencies.
