News Release: WASHINGTON - In response to the damaging coastal storms that hit Alaska’s western shores this week, the Department of the Interior today announced that the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is distributing $2.6 million to support the needs of 45 Alaska Native villages. These funds will provide critical resources for Alaska Native communities prior to winter’s arrival, including immediate aid for food, water and other essential supplies.

News Release: NORMAN, Okla. - The Bureau of Land Management will hold a wild horse and burro adoption event in Clovis, New Mexico, October 14-15 at the Curry County Events Center, where 120 wild horses and burros will be present. The adoption event will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14. Adoptions will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 15. Animals are eligible for adoption. Inquire with BLM staff onsite for more information.
