News Release: SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - A Springfield, Illinois, man, Carlos Wright, 32, of the 1800 block of 11th Street, was sentenced on Sept. 21, 2022, to concurrent terms of 42 months’ imprisonment for possession of a firearm by a felon and 24 months’ imprisonment for wire fraud and false statements on loan applications, to be followed by concurrent three-year terms of supervised release. Additionally, Wright must pay restitution in the amount of $46,666.

Handberg announces Levelle Joseph Harris (36, Kissimmee) has entered a guilty plea to an indictment charging him with 14 counts of wire fraud. Each count is punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Harris had been indicted on June 7, 2022.
