News Release: CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A Charlotte man involved in three shooting incidents was sentenced to 10 years in prison today for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. As part of his sentence, Ulondis Raquan Edwards, 23, will also serve three years under court supervision after he is released from prison.

Davis has sentenced Francisco Gonzalez Benitez (37, Orange, California) to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances (including kilogram quantities of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, and methamphetamine), distribution of methamphetamine, and conspiracy to engage in money laundering. Gonzalez Benitez had pleaded guilty on April 15, 2021.

King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. Timothy Lamont Johnson, 55, of Charlotte, was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release upon completion of his sentence.

Conrad Jr. sentenced Michael Moore, 40, a Liberian national, to 10 years in prison for his role in an online romance scheme that targeted older adults, announced Dena J.
