Kevin Wayne Gardner, 42, of Parkersburg, was sentenced on July 27 to 14 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
According to court documents and statements made in court, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on June 16, 2025, in the Parkersburg area of Wood County. During a search of the vehicle driven by Gardner, officers seized approximately two pounds of methamphetamine.
Gardner has a criminal history that includes ten prior felony convictions and multiple revocations of probation and parole.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the sentence and commended the investigative work performed by the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office. United States District Judge Thomas E. Johnston imposed the sentence, and Assistant United States Attorney Jeremy B. Wolfe prosecuted the case.
