Todd L. Addison, 38, of Rochester, New York, was sentenced on July 13 to serve 87 months in prison after being convicted of firearms trafficking offenses. U.S. District Judge Meredith A. Vacca imposed the sentence following Addison’s conviction for purchasing and illegally selling firearms between March and August 27, 2025.
According to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo, Addison bought as many as seven firearms from Federal Firearms Licensees in Pennsylvania and transported them to New York. He then sold these weapons illegally to individuals in Rochester, including at least one person he knew was a felon who intended to dispose of the firearm unlawfully.
Federal authorities executed search warrants on August 27, 2025, at Addison’s Hudson Avenue residence and a vehicle he used for travel between Pennsylvania and New York. Law enforcement recovered a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, pistol magazines from the vehicle, as well as empty pistol boxes, black pistol holders, and a gun cleaning kit from his residence.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert A. Marangola and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan DiGirolamo and the Rochester Police Department under Chief David Smith.
