A federal grand jury returned a two-count indictment on Jul. 16 charging Julian Beall, 37, of Roseville, with possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
According to court documents, law enforcement officers executed search warrants on June 10 at Beall’s Roseville residence and a Midtown Sacramento apartment used as a stash location. Officers seized more than 51 pounds of heroin, more than 22 pounds of cocaine, and drug-trafficking paraphernalia including scales and heat-sealing equipment from the apartment. At Beall’s residence, officers found $133,420 in cash.
The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Sacramento Police Department, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Cornell is prosecuting the case.
If convicted, Beall faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, up to life imprisonment and a $10 million fine. The actual sentence would be determined by the court after considering applicable statutory factors and federal Sentencing Guidelines. The charges are allegations; Beall is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
