APHIS Extends the Deadline to Comment on Draft Pest Risk Assessment for the Importation of Fresh Orange and Tangerine from Egypt
Release: APHIS has drafted a pest risk assessment for the importation of fresh Orange (Citrus sinensis) and Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) for consumption from Egypt into the United States. The assessment describes potential pests associated with the commodity. This pest risk assessment will update a Federal Register notice published in 2013 () that included a pest list and the U.S. geographic areas that can receive these imports.

News Release: WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Todd Young (R-Ind.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), and John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) today reintroduced the American Values Act, legislation to permanently enact and expand existing prohibitions on the use of U.S. foreign assistance to pay for the performance or promotion of abortion services overseas.
