U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, will speak on the Senate floor on July 14 to address how his MVP agenda aims to make health care more affordable by giving money directly to families.

Cassidy has previously given floor speeches urging President Trump and Congress to collaborate with him in efforts to lower health care costs by directing funds straight to patients, eliminating intermediaries, and increasing price transparency. Cassidy also led the Health Care Freedom for Patients Act alongside U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) as an alternative proposal intended not to provide large sums of money to major insurance companies but instead focus on patient-centered reforms.
