Senator Susan Collins, Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, welcomed Senator Darline Graham to the committee and announced updated subcommittee assignments on July 22 in Washington, D.C.
Graham will serve on several subcommittees: Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies; Energy and Water Development; Financial Services and General Government; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies; Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies; Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies. Collins will act as interim chair of the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs subcommittee. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith will join the Defense subcommittee.
The committee also released a list of updated subcommittee assignments covering areas such as Agriculture; Commerce; Defense Department; Energy; Financial Services; Homeland Security; Interior and Environment; Labor and Education Departments; Legislative Branch; Military Construction/Veterans Affairs; State/Foreign Operations Programs; Transportation/Housing.
