Corey Adkins, a 29-year-old resident of Sharon, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on July 14 to 84 months in federal prison and six years of supervised release following his conviction for drug trafficking and firearm offenses. Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer imposed the sentence in federal court.
According to information presented to the court, Adkins engaged in armed cocaine trafficking from his residence in Sharon in January 2025. At the time of these activities, Adkins’ girlfriend and a young child were also present at the home. The court heard that Adkins had two prior convictions for cocaine trafficking within the previous eight years.
Adkins pleaded guilty in January 2026 to possessing with intent to distribute a quantity of cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
United States Attorney Troy Rivetti commended the Sharon Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for their work investigating the case.
