NPS to Conduct Prescribed Fire at Echo Bay 61-06

News Release: NPS fire personnel will conduct a prescribed burn on three acres of the sewer lagoons just north of the Echo Bay trailer village. This area is located in the Echo Bay developed area on the Nevada side of Lake Mead. The burn will begin on or after Dec. 1, depending on weather conditions. Unwanted grass reeds and cattails have accumulated in the lagoons and have become a nuisance and fire hazard.
