News Release: The Federal Reserve Board on Tuesday announced the issuance of a Consent Order of Assessment of a Civil Money Penalty against Dacotah Bank, Aberdeen, South Dakota, a state member bank. Dacotah Bank, without admitting to any allegations, consented to the issuance of the Order in connection with its alleged violations of the Board's regulations implementing the National Flood Insurance Act.

The Orders require civil money penalty payments of $37,500 and $7,500 respectively.


News Release: The Commerce Department’s U.S. Census Bureau today released retail sales data for January 2011. Retail sales rose 0.3 percent in January. This figure was slightly below private-sector expectations of a 0.6-percent gain. Excluding automobiles, retail sales grew 0.3 percent in January. Sales at motor vehicle dealers increased 0.6 percent.

MSHA creates additional district office to oversee southern West Virginia coal mines

News Release: ARLINGTON, Va. – The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration today announced that it will split the agency's jurisdiction over southern West Virginia coal mines into two separate districts, a process that will begin in the second quarter of fiscal year 2011. Of the nation's 2,100 coal mines, approximately 400 fall within the existing District 4 boundaries.
