Investigation of Sexual Assault in Lassen Volcanic National Park results in Arrest

News Release: A Red Bluff mother reported to the Red Bluff Police Department that her daughter had been sexually molested earlier this year by Vernon Lee Williamson, Jr., age 61. The Red Bluff Police Department detectives were able to determine that the minor child (under 12 years of age) was molested at a location in Lassen Volcanic National Park.


Chairman Issa, Oversight Committee Submit $375 Billion in Savings to Super Committee, Warn of President’s Postal Gimmick

News Release: (WASHINGTON)-Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today submitted seven recommendations to the congressional Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (Joint Select Committee) that, if implemented, will provide a minimum of $375 billion in savings over ten years. The letter also suggests that the Joint Committee should not address U.S. Postal Service reform.

News Release: (WASHINGTON)-The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee today approved a bill to rename the Bisbee, Ariz., Border Patrol facility after agent Brian Terry who was killed on duty in December 2010. The bill, H.R. 2668, was authored by Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and is supported by 68 Democratic and Republican cosponsors.
