News Release: TACOMA, Wash. - A Thurston County resident who shipped packages of methamphetamine and heroin to a small town in Alaska was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Nov. 30, 2012. Robert Dean Grimes, 52, was arrested on Oct. 14, 2011, when he returned to Washington State from Alaska. Grimes had attempted to retrieve packages of drugs from the post office in Soldotna, Alaska and then eluded law enforcement.

Wagner announced today that a federal grand jury returned a two count indictment charging Juan Venegas, 40, of Newman, with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
