News Release: Fire investigators looking into the cause of the Fern Lake Fire are asking for help from the community. Investigators believe those who visited the park on October 9 may have information that can help determine both how and where the fire started.


Weather Challenges Search Efforts Today

News Release: Search efforts continued today for two hikers that were reported missing by family members on Friday. The hikers, 32-year-old Neal Peckens from Virginia and 32-year-old Jason Hiser from Maryland, are believed to have been hiking on the east side of the park near Two Medicine and failed to return to their vehicle and their flight back home to the east coast.


News Release: The Fern Lake Fire located west of Fern Lake Trailhead on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park put up a column of smoke Friday morning due to burning pockets of unburned trees and deadfall. The total acreage of the fire remains at 660 acres and is 0% contained.
