News Release: POCATELLO - Ronald Lee Chaney, 32, and Tyler Zane Clem, 21, both recently of North Little Rock, Arkansas, were indicted on Aug. 27, 2013, by a federal grand jury in Pocatello for failing to register as a sex offender, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. Clem appeared today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald E. Bush and entered a plea of not guilty. Chaney’s initial appearance has not been set.


Man From Oelwein Sentenced For Attempted Enticement Of A Minor In Eldridge

News Release: DAVENPORT, IA - On Aug. 22, 2013, Steven William Bentley, age 53, from Oelwein, Iowa, was sentenced by Chief United States District Judge James E. Gritzner to 121 months in prison for attempted enticement of a minor, announced United States Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt. Judge Gritzner also ordered Bentley to serve 10 years of supervised release following imprisonment and to pay $100 towards the Crime Victims Fund.

Local Man Gets 10 Years For Methamphetamine

News Release: CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A Corpus Christi man will be serving a significant sentence in federal prison following his conviction of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. Jerame Cruz, 30, pleaded guilty Jan. 11, 2013.


News Release: Springfield, Ill. - Senior U.S. District Judge Richard Mills last week sentenced Clay Lewis, 38, of Beardstown, Ill., to 151 months (12 years, 7 months) in prison for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, to be followed by eight years of supervised release. At the time of the offense, September 2012, Lewis was on probation for a prior state felony drug charge.


Ways and Means Committee Releases Draft Proposal to Extend and Improve Adoption Incentives Program

Lincoln Man Found Guilty of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

News Release: United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Ricardo Omar Hernandez, age 36 of Lincoln, Nebraska, was convicted by a federal jury on Aug. 29, 2013, of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture and 5 grams or more of pure methamphetamine after a trial of three-and-one-half days. The jury also found that Hernandez should forfeit $12,914.00 in cash to the United States.
