Eagle Butte Man Convicted Of Assault

News Release: United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that Leon Donald Farlee, age 31, of Eagle Butte, South Dakota was convicted on Feb. 22, 2013 of one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and one count of Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. The guilty verdicts followed a four-day federal jury trial. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both; 3 years of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment.
