Denver Business Owner Pleads Guilty To Mail Fraud And Money Laundering As Part Of A Ponzi Scheme

News Release: DENVER - Michael James Turnock, age 68, of Denver, Colorado, pled guilty earlier this week before U.S. District Court Judge Christine M. Arguello to one count of mail fraud and one count of money laundering, the United States Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, IRS - Criminal Investigation and the United States Postal Inspection Service announced. Turnock, who is free on bond, is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Arguello on May 28, 2013.


St. Paul Felon Sentenced For Possessing A .40-caliber Pistol

News Release: MINNEAPOLIS-Earlier today in federal court in St. Paul, a 37-year-old St. Paul felon was sentenced for possessing a.40-caliber pistol. United States District Court Judge Richard H. Kyle sentenced Wendell Terrell Brown to 180 months in prison on one count of being an armed career criminal in possession of a firearm. Brown was indicted on June 18, 2012, and pleaded guilty on Oct. 12, 2012.


News Release: POCATELLO - Eulalio Loya, 56, of Rupert, Idaho, was sentenced yesterday in United States District Court to 48 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced. Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Loya to serve three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty to the charge on November 5, 2012.

Judge Kosik further ordered that Nguyen pay $45,128 in restitution to the Pennsylvania Department of Unemployment Insurance.
