News Release: U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite announced that EVANS LEWIS, age 23, of New Orleans, was sentenced today for his role in the shooting death of a New Orleans man. On Feb. 26, 2014, LEWIS pled guilty to murdering an unarmed New Orleans man, Gregory Keys, and shooting another individual, Kendrick Smothers, during the course of a drug trafficking crime.


News Release: Tampa, Florida - U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Hernandez Covington has sentenced Reginald Lynn Gaines (24, Plant City) to 11 years and 9 months in federal prison for robbing a convenience store, and using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during that robbery. The court also ordered Gaines to pay $1,000 in restitution, which was the amount taken during the robbery. Gaines pleaded guilty on Sept. 2, 2014.

Vendetti, 44, of Rochester, NY, pleaded guilty to Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organization (RICO) Conspiracy, before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
