A federal jury convicted Barson and his medical clinic administrator, Dario Juarez, 55, on Nov. 5, 2014, of all 20 counts charged. Co-defendant Edgar Shakbazyan entered a guilty plea to the 21-count indictment on Oct. 27, 2014.

Resurfacing Project On Trail Ridge Road In Rocky Mountain National Park

News Release: On Wednesday, July 29, weather permitting, a resurfacing project will begin on Trail Ridge Road from Lava Cliffs to the Colorado River Trailhead, an approximate 14-mile section. During the project, traffic will be reduced to one lane, and 15 minute delays should be expected. These delays will take place through August 21 with intermittent delays up to September 1. Work is not planned to take place during weekends.


Two Climbers Take Sliding Fall on Middle Teton

News Release: On Saturday, July 25, two climbers fell and slid on a patch of snow while descending from the Dike Pinnacle on the south face of the Middle Teton in Grand Teton National Park. The climbers, Jordan Lister and Carrie Schwartz, both 25 and residents of Jackson, Wyoming, slid approximately 200 feet on snow and rocky terrain before coming to a stop on a grassy ledge. Lister sustained serious injuries requiring an evacuation by helicopter, while Schwartz sustained minor injuries.
