Two Charged in Pharmacy Robberies

News Release: PITTSBURGH - A Pennsylvania man and a West Virginia man have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery of a pharmacy, robbery of a pharmacy, brandishment of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, and possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II controlled substances, United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today.

Former Owner of Investment Firms Arrested for $8 Million Fraud

News Release: RICHMOND, Va. - Merrill Robertson, Jr., 36, of Chesterfield, former owner of two Richmond area investment firms, was arrested this morning for his role in an investment fraud scheme that caused over $8 million in losses to his clients.

Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that KERRY SCANLAN, 20, of Avon, was arrested yesterday on a federal criminal complaint charging him distributing heroin involved in an overdose death of an 18-year-old in East Haddam. The charge stems from an ongoing statewide initiative targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, fentanyl or opioids that cause death or serious injury to users.
