Two Individuals Inidicted on Tax and Mortgage Fraud Offenses

News Release: DALLAS - Special Agents with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Investigation and the Federal Housing Finance Agency Office of Inspector General (FHFA-OIG) arrested Chukwuma Jonas Osuagwu, 43, of Dallas, late Friday, August 5, 2016, on various tax and mortgage fraud offenses, announced U.S. Attorney John Parker of the Northern District of Texas.


News Release: PHOENIX - Yesterday, Rodney Begay, of Tuba City, Ariz., a member of the Navajo Indian Nation, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John J. Tuchi to 235 months in prison, followed by a lifetime term of supervised release. Begay had previously pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact of a minor.


Sea Cliff Man Indicted For Scheme To Defraud More Than $1 Million From Elderly Woman’s Estate

News Release: A four-count indictment was unsealed today in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging the defendant John Derounian with mail fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft in connection with a scheme to defraud the estate of an elderly victim of more than $1.2 million. The indictment was returned under seal by a federal grand jury sitting in Central Islip, New York, on July 26, 2016.
