BTS Statistics Release: October 2016 Passenger Airline Employment Data

News Release: U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 4.0 percent more workers in October 2016 than in October 2015, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today. October was the highest monthly FTE total (415,891) since January 2005 (417,789) and was the 36th consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline full-time equivalent (FTE) employment exceeded the same month of the previous year.

Munksgard, 41, of Archer, Florida, was sentenced yesterday to 30 months in prison for four counts of false statement to a federally insured institution and aggravated identity theft. The sentence was announced by Christopher P. Canova, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
