Kankakee Area Felon Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison for Weapons Charge

News Release: Urbana, Ill. - Ladonta A. Tucker, 24, of the 200 block of North Greenwood Ave., Kankakee, Ill., has been ordered to serve 84 months in federal prison for illegal possession of a firearm by a felon, as announced by U.S. Attorney Jim Lewis, Central District of Illinois. Tucker was sentenced on Sept. 12. He has been in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service since his arrest in December 2015. On April 28, 2016, Tucker entered a plea of guilty to the charge.
