U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao Announces $25 Million In Emergency Relief Funds For Texas To Begin Repairs

News Release: WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation announced today that Secretary Elaine L. Chao has directed Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) officials to make $25 million in Emergency Relief (ER) funds immediately available to help Texas with repairs on flood-damaged roads and bridges following Hurricane Harvey. The funds were approved for release promptly after Texas’ request.


Attempted Bank Robber Sentenced to 64 Months in Prison

News Release: TUCSON, Ariz. - Yesterday, Richard Ortega Elenes, Jr., 41, of Tucson, Ariz., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer G. Zipps to 64 months in prison. Elenes had previously pleaded guilty to attempted bank robbery.
