Colorado Man Sentenced for Mail Fraud

News Release: Acting United States Attorney Robert C. Stuart announced today that Benedict T. Palen, Jr., age 63, of Denver, Colorado, was sentenced for his conviction on one count of mail fraud. United States District Court Judge Robert F. Rossiter sentenced Palen on May 5, 2017 to a term of probation of five years. Palen was further ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and to pay the remaining unpaid restitution in the amount of $2,500.


New Jersey Man Sentenced to 4 Years in Federal Prison for Wethersfield Warehouse Burglary

Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that ANDREW ORECKINTO, 52, of Matawan, New Jersey, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Jeffery Alker Meyer in New Haven to 48 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for stealing more than 8,000 cartons of cigarettes from a Wethersfield warehouse in March 2011.
