Federal Prison Inmate Sentenced for Possessing Weapon

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Cebrian Omar Sims, currently an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Oxford, Wis., was sentenced this week by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 21 months in prison for possessing a weapon in the prison. Sims pleaded guilty to this charge on Nov. 28, 2017.


Convicted Felon Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Court on Ammunition Charge

News Release: EVANSVILLE -United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler announced today that an Evansville man was sentenced for possessing ammunition as a convicted felon after being arrested by the Evansville Police Department during a domestic disturbance in 2016. Jason E. Galloway, 40, was sentenced to 120 months (10 years) by U.S. District Judge Richard L. Young after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of ammunition.

News Release: TUCSON, Ariz. - On Jan. 29, 2018, Taylor Ray Freeman, 28, of Tucson, Ariz., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge James A. Soto to serve 97 months in prison. Freeman had previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. Freeman’s term of imprisonment will be followed by lifetime supervised release, with stringent sex offender conditions, including the condition that he register as a sex offender.

Corbin Man Found Guilty of Devising Murder-for-Hire Scheme

News Release: LONDON, Ky. - William Timothy Sutton, 55, of Corbin, Ky., has been convicted of four counts of interstate murder-for-hire and one count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The verdict came yesterday, following six days of trial, which included testimony from all four intended victims of the scheme. The jury deliberated for less than two hours in reaching its verdict.


Bradenton Man Sentenced to Fifteen Years in Prison for Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm
