News Release: NEWARK, N.J. - A Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, man was sentenced today to 60 months in prison for his role in a scheme that fraudulently obtained more than $24 million from the Post 9/11 GI Bill, a federal education benefits program designed to help veterans who served in the armed forces following the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.


Moss Point Man Sentenced to Over 24 Years in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine

News Release: Gulfport, Miss. - Demetrius Darnell Mason, 40, of Moss Point, was sentenced on Thursday by U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. to serve 292 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst and Special Agent in Charge Stephen G. Azzam with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Mason was also ordered to pay a $7,500 fine.

News Release: Tampa, Florida - United States District Judge Elizabeth A. Kovachevich has sentenced Nejah Prince (33, Tampa) to four years and nine months in federal prison for access device (credit card) fraud and for filing false claims against the United States. As part of Prince’s sentence, the court also entered a money judgment in the amount of $1,386.39, the proceeds of the fraud. Prince pleaded guilty on Feb. 16, 2017.
