Reclamation decreases Crooked River Flows for fish and wildlife

News Release: PRINEVILLE, OR - In cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the NOAA Fisheries, the Bureau of Reclamation is decreasing fish and wildlife flows in the Crooked River to 20 cubic feet per second (cfs) through Oct. 2018, to allow us to maintain biologically vital winter flows of 65 cfs from Oct. to April 2019. This decision was made due to the dry conditions being experienced this year and the fact that Prineville Reservoir did not fully fill.
