News Release: United States Attorney Richard W. Moore of the Southern District of Alabama announced that Christopher Rashawn Lewis, 28, of Selma, Alabama, was sentenced today in federal court for his illegal possession of firearms as a convicted felon. Lewis, who has three prior felony convictions for illegal possession of controlled substances, was indicted for three separate instances where he was found in possession of firearms. Lewis pled guilty to two of the counts in August of 2019.


Former Substitute Teacher Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child Pornography

News Release: ROCHESTER, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Jeffrey Maciejewski, 26, of Penn Yan, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. to possession of child pornography involving prepubescent minors. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a lifetime period of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.


News Release: Hawaii National Park, HAWAI‘I - The public is reminded that Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, along with other national parks across America, will modify its entrance fees to provide additional funding for infrastructure and maintenance needs to enhance the visitor experience. Effective Jan. 1, 2020, the entrance fees to the park will be $30 per vehicle, $25 per motorcycle and $15 per pedestrian or bicyclist. The receipt allows entry for seven days.
