BLM hosting open house in Hesperus on coal proposal in La Plata County

News Release: Dolores, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is hosting an open house Aug. 1 in Hesperus to discuss the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) that evaluates GCC Energy, LLC’s (GCCE) proposed Lease-by-Application (LBA) for the King II Coal Mine, approximately 15 miles west of Durango, Colorado. The EA, which is being jointly prepared with the Office of Surface Mining and Enforcement (OSMRE), was released for public review on July 5.

KLUENDER, 41, to a year and a day in prison and ordered to pay $880,143.01, for illegally selling hundreds of thousands of dollars in property that was pledged as collateral for a USDA-backed farm loan. KLUENDER, who pleaded guilty on March 7, 2019, was sentenced yesterday before Chief Judge John R. Tunheim in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Wolford to theft of firearms from a Federal Firearms Licensee and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The charges each carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
