Head out to the wild horse and burro event in Hugo, Okla.

News Release: NORMAN, Okla. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a wild horse and burro adoption event in Hugo, Okla., Aug. 27-28, at the Hugo Rodeo Arena. The two-day event, featuring 120 wild horses and burros, will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27. Adoptions will be held from noon-6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, and from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Aug. 28. Animals are eligible for adoption. Inquire with BLM staff onsite for more information.

On August 4, 2021, 32-year-old Jeffrey B. Wilson was sentenced to 100 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
