Omaha Man Sentenced to Prison for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

News Release: COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Acting United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal announced that Brian Keith Messer, age 39, of Omaha, Neb., was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Stephanie M. Rose on Feb. 3, 2021, to 24 months in prison to be followed by 10 years of supervised release for failure to register as a sex offender. Messer pleaded guilty to the charge on Oct. 16, 2020.

Waterbury man sentenced to four years for role in heroin and cocaine trafficking ring

News Release: HARTFORD, Conn. - DEA New England Division Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Boyle and John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that Jeffrey Tavarez, 22, of Waterbury, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Vanessa L. Bryant in Hartford to 48 months of imprisonment, followed by four years of supervised release, for his role in a heroin and fentanyl trafficking ring.
