Iowa Sex Offender Sentenced to 22 Years in Prison for Child Enticement Crimes

News Release: ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - A West Liberty, Iowa, man, Charles Walter Christopher, 43, was sentenced on Dec. 15, 2021, to a total of 264 months in prison, to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for attempted enticement of a minor and committing a sex offense while a registered sex offender.

Beattie, 29, of Kearney, Nebraska, was sentenced today in federal court in Lincoln for possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture. United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Beattie to 151 months in prison followed by a 5-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
